Using the framework of Polyvagal theory, which looks at the nervous system’s adaptive survival response via the body’s neurophysiological process, these sessions are aimed at helping you to manage stress and embody returning to a state of calm and connection. Learn how your body can regulate itself by creating the right conditions for it to do so. Each session is personalised to help you become familiar with your own nervous system and how you can bring about a sense of calm and balance. Interventions such as:

  • vagus nerve regulation strategies,

  • sensing into your felt experience by becoming familiar with how your body experiences safety and stress,

  • noticing the role that your breath plays in calming your system,

  • experiencing the soothing nature of touch so that you may be able to apply self touch as a supportive companion in between sessions

  • education about what happens in the body when you are in different nervous system states.

You will be encouraged to apply what you learn as part of your daily self care routine. Be gently guided to listen to your body so that you can remember what it feels like to connect to the calm places that reside within you
